Deputy Leader of the Green Party to visit Arundel next week

Zack Polanski, Deputy Leader of the Green Party of England and Wales, will visit Arundel next week, demonstrating the confidence the Party has in widening its base further in the May elections. Polanski’s visit to Arun comes after the success of the Greens locally (Greens won both recent by-elections).

On Monday 13 February, in a talk and Q&A at Arundel Museum from 7.00-8.15pm, Polanski will discuss how together we can create an ethical shift away from politics as usual. He will speak on key issues such as the democratic deficit, as well as what the sustainability of jobs, infrastructure and wellbeing really means, and how Greens aim to make that happen. (This is a free event but tickets are limited so those interested in attending should register promptly to avoid disappointment. So Register Now!)

“I’m very much looking forward to visiting Arundel on Monday 13 February,” said Polanski, announcing the event on Twitter. “We’ll be discussing all things Green and celebrating two recent by-election successes for the Chichester and Arun Green Party!”

Arun Councillor and leader of the Green group, Isabel Thurston said, “I am delighted to be welcoming Zack to Arundel. He is an inspiring figure, showing how Green politics works. I hope lots of local people who are interested will come along and find out about what sort of change we can make with more Green councillors.”

The tour of constituencies where the Greens are confident of winning in May continues on Tuesday 14 February when Polanski will visit Goring (Worthing) – a key target ward in which the Greens came second in the last elections – where he’ll join candidate Claire Hunt to talk to local residents. A lunchtime event will see him give a talk in Bramber, Steyning (Horsham) to promote the Horsham campaign.

Polanski has been Deputy Leader of the Green Party of England and Wales since September 2022. He is a London Assembly Member and chairs London’s Environment Committee. Polanski has campaigned for years on Proportional Representation and is working on a Universal Basic Income pilot.
